Badger Challenge
Support the brightest minds, ideas, and technologies at the University of Wisconsin and UW Carbone Cancer Center by participating in the Badger Challenge. We help make an impact on the future of cancer research and patient treatment initiatives because we participate and contribute as a team. Table Bluff Ice Age Trail (IAT) Hike
Looking for more signs of spring? Join your fellow Team Survivor members on a hike on a nearby Ice Age Trail Table Bluff segment, north of Cross Plains. It is an invigorating hike with lots of scenic vistas so grab your water bottle & hiking shoes and join us. We will take it slow to enjoy all the natural WI beauty.
We will start from the parking lot at the end of Scheele Road (directions below) and spend time looking for the migrating birds, wild flowers and beautiful oak trees on that segment.
Parking and Directions:
If you are driving yourself, take HW 14 (University Ave) west through Cross Plains, about 1 miles west of Cross Plains, take a right on KP. Drive 0.3 miles to Scheele/Corning Rd., take a left and drive another 0.3 miles to parking lot.
If you are interested in car pooling, 2 cars will leave the Middleton town hall, 7555 Old Sauk Rd., shortly after 9 am. One is a red RAV4 and the other is a light gray Lexus.
Things to bring:
Sunscreen / Hat
Water Bottle
Tick protection- either long clothing or preferred repellant. Its that time of year in S.WI.
Poles or walking stick, it is a rocky trail in parts. (One extra set of poles and 1 walking stick is available to borrow for hike, put your name in when you RSVP.)
Snack if desired, some will be available.

Spring Wildflower Walk
What early Spring wildflowers can we discover? Join TSM friends as we wander through the woods, prairie, and wetlands on our quest for spring beauty. The hike is approximately 2.3 miles.
Parking: Access to the Wingra Springs Lot off of Arboretum Drive from the East only, either the East entrance at N. Wingra Dr.OR exit the Beltline at Fish Hatchery Rd., turn left on Carver St. as indicated on the map linked here.
The entrance from the west that leads to the UW Arboretum Visitor Center is not open to this parking lot on weekends. UW Arboretum, Wingra Springs Parking Lot on Arboretum Drive (lot access is from Mills Street entrance)
Bring water, sunscreen and hat, clothes for the weather, walking/hiking shoes (might be muddy) and hiking poles if you like.

Watercolor Painting
Learn some basic skills and create three mini masterpieces of fun! Pat Coyne, girl scout leader extraordinaire, will lead us through three activities to wet your palate literally! No experience required. Be ready to be creative in a safe environment.
This is a member only activity for up to 20 people. Ask your TSM friends to join you!
All supplies provided. You can bring a snack to share and your own beverage. Wear clothes that can get paint on them.

Murder Mystery Game with Lunch
Calling all TSM sleuths! Join us for a party game we participate in together. We need to solve a 20 year murder (cold case) at Underwood Cellars. This cold case began in 1995 with the disappearance of Cary Underwood and was resumed in 2014. There’s plenty of suspects to interrogate. No need to dress for the part - just come to have fun.

Picnic Point Meander
Join Kirsten Norslien for a hike/meander through the trails of Picnic Point. We will explore one of the grand little treasures that Madison has to offer. We will do the loop and can explore the area as well. Perhaps we can even practice some mindfulness while we're at it.

We’ll admire the whimsical artwork and elaborate interiors as we wind our way through a number of the Epic buildings on our self-guided tour.
Park in the Visitor Parking Lot (located under the blue solar panels. Map is linked here. Pass the Humpty Dumpty statue at the head of the walkway that leads to the Epic main building, “Andromeda.” We’ll meet and sign in at the registration desk inside Andromeda.

Join TSM for our first hike of the new year!
Because of Saturday’s snow, we will meet at the "Snowshoe Trail" Parking Lot on Libby Road. (We are hiking) Drive PAST the left hand turn toward Shelter 1. Just before the driveway to the Boat Launch area there is a parking lot on the right/southside of the road. The sign at the parking lot says “snowshoe trails” and Capital Springs State Park. See attached map
The new snow is gorgeous, so please join us for a walk along the lake and through the prairie. Paths may be snowy so wear boots with good traction or Yax-tracks. Dress for the weather and bring hiking poles if you’d like.
